Pearland Newborn Photographer | A Colorful Studio Session with the Lernor Family

There’s nothing sweeter than getting to photograph a family over many seasons of life—and this recent session with the Lernor family was one for the books!

As a Pearland newborn photographer, I’ve had the joy of working with this sweet family for years, including newborn sessions for babies #2 and #3. So when I got the text that the most precious surprise-baby #4 was coming soon, I was beyond excited to get them back in front of my camera. There’s something so special about being trusted to document these fleeting moments, especially for a dear friend and long-time client.

This session took place in my Pearland studio, where we used a mix of natural light and studio lighting to create a soft, cozy feel. Baby boy was an absolute dream—so peaceful, so snuggly, and totally adored by his big siblings. Their love and excitement for their new baby brother was palpable and made the session so fun and full of energy. These kids are soin love, and it shows in every image.

A little fun fact: baby #4 shares the same nickname—Andy—as my husband! It made the session feel even more personal and special.

For styling, we kept things classic with soft blues and grays—perfect for a little boy and beautifully timeless. But when it came time for family portraits, we tossed the typical neutral tones out the window. The Lernor family’s home is filled with color, life, and personality, and I wanted their wardrobe to reflect that. I encouraged them to lean into vibrant, happy tones that felt like them—and I’m so glad they did. The result? A colorful, joy-filled gallery that truly captures the heart of their family.
