It may still be 100 degrees outside here in Houston, but fall portrait season is officially around the corner—and my 2026 Fall Petite Sessions are here!

Fall has always been one of my favorite seasons to photograph families. The light gets softer, schedules fill up with traditions and holidays, and somehow the end of the year has a way of reminding us just how quickly another season of family life has passed. If you have older kids, you know exactly how fast life is flying by!

This year, I’m offering four Petite Session dates in the Houston area, each with a completely different look—from relaxed family portraits at the beach and beautiful tree-lined streets to festive holiday sessions.

Whether you simply need an updated family portrait for your holiday card or you’ve been meaning to get everyone in front of the camera before another year slips by, Petite Sessions are an easy way to make it happen.

2026 Houston Fall Petite Session Dates

Beach Petite Sessions - Friday, September 18

Bare feet, soft coastal light, and relaxed family portraits by the water. These are perfect for families who love a casual, timeless look that feels beautiful on a holiday card but can also live on the walls of your home year-round.

Boulevard Oaks Petite Sessions - Sunday, September 27

Set along one of Houston’s beautiful tree-lined walkways, these sessions will have a classic, polished feel without being overly formal. Think gorgeous greenery, mature trees, and a timeless Houston backdrop.

Holiday Studio Petite Sessions - Saturday, October 10

For my families who like to have Christmas photos checked off the list early! These indoor Houston-area holiday sessions offer a polished, festive setting without having to worry about the weather—and give you plenty of time to order holiday cards and gifts before December arrives.

Holiday Truck Petite Sessions - Sunday, November 8

A favorite holiday tradition returns! These sessions feature a festive vintage truck setup and are perfect for families looking for cheerful Christmas portraits and holiday-card images.

What’s Included in a Petite Session?

Each Petite Session is $500 total and includes:

A 10-minute portrait session
10 professionally edited digital images
Personalized outfit and styling suggestions to help your family coordinate beautifully for your session
A $195 deposit due at booking
The remaining $305 balance due five days before your session

And if figuring out what everyone should wear is usually the part that stresses you out, don’t worry—I’ll help with that too. Once you’re booked, I’m happy to offer outfit and styling suggestions based on your session location so your family looks coordinated without feeling overly matched.

Ten minutes may sound quick, but that’s exactly what makes these sessions work so well—especially for families with kids! We keep things moving, capture the combinations that matter most, and finish before anyone has a chance to completely lose interest.

Should You Book a Petite or Full Family Session?

Petite Sessions are intentionally simple and streamlined. The date, location, and session length are already selected, making them perfect if you want a beautiful set of updated family portraits without planning a completely customized experience.

If you’re dreaming of something more personal, want additional time and variety, have a specific Houston location in mind, or would like to create artwork for your home, a full-length family photography session may be the better fit.

Full sessions allow us more time to slow down, photograph the little interactions between your family, create a wider variety of images, and plan a session specifically around you. I’ll guide you throughout the entire process—from planning and wardrobe to choosing your favorite portraits and artwork afterward.

There truly isn’t a “better” option—it just depends on what your family needs in this season.

Sometimes you want the full experience.

And sometimes you just need everyone dressed, smiling, and photographed before another year goes by. 😉

Houston Fall Petite Sessions Will Open For Booking Friday August 14th at 9am

Fall is one of the busiest times of year for family photography in Houston, and these Petite Sessions are available on select dates only. Once the available time slots are reserved, I won’t be able to add additional sessions to these dates.

If you already know which setting feels most like your family, I recommend setting an alarm for the release date so you can grab your preferred time and date!
